If Maxtors` own software says you`ve got a faulty drive H.
Then you`d better believe it.
Is it out of warranty ?.
Rescue all your stuff off it while you can for safety.
It is possible to Fdisk a drive, and mark out bad blocks, altho`
personally, I wouldn`t risk my stuff on a `dodgy` drive.
