Sigh. I can only see this escalating further if it really does catch on.
Someone will then invent something that will actually download the ad,
but then discard it.
If Google were to drop such sites from their results, then it may also
bring about an attitudinal adjustment.
It brings me back to my post I made some time ago: we should be grateful
to Bill Gates and his Internet Explorer. Whilst the vast majority are
being served up great big piles of spadvertising, it leaves the rest of
us to quietly go about our business.
