But unfortunately there is only the standard antique communication
available.

Light speed is no barrier, but we cannot forget that we are childs of
the sun. Leaving that barrier is only seen in Science Fiction films and
some grandiloquent books.
The Thought is the only what is in my mind, being faster than light,
but it is more accepted on the living world (big business profit maker,
poker and such) and is being depressed by antique communication.
Fixed-line network is O.K. and very effective IMO, even in the KB-size
range :-). That's digital :)
