That's my thought too. Frank, you might want to pop over to
opensourcecms.com. Essentially, the site loads demos of every
cms-related app they can. On the index tree at left, click on 'groupware.'

I've heard NetOffice get a lot of praise and I've seen dotProject used
effectively. No direct experience in this space though.
