I don't think that is an entirely fair assessment. The MS Firewall is only
one of many firewalls that is monitored by the Security Centre. IMO the
message is there for those who probably won't download and install a third
party firewall. These folks might as well take advantage of the minimal
protection that is now built into Windows.
