random act of freeware kindness

what do you guys think ? can we do this:

but for freeware? such as holding a local freeware SIG or UG handing out
copies of the latest PLW CD (a burning party) and or add your own favorite
freeware programs ? or copying the PLW CD (or a cd of your favorite
freeware programs) and handing them out to your friends and co-workers?

anyother ideas? i didn't have money for gifts this past christmas so I
enclosed a copy of last years PLW cd in with each christmas card (plus
added a few of my favorites) and ended up giving away nearly 2 dozen CD's

open to suggestions ...
