AVI splitter (to make a sample)

I'm after an avi splitter of some kind, not just the thing that takes a
700mb avi file and makes it into smaller chunks (hjsplit) but something that
will allow me to take maybe 45th minute to 47th minute, you know how to make
a small sample avi.
I'd like app to be able to do the above plus it would be ideal if app ran
from standalone exe file and didn't need to be installed as such, anyone
know of anything that can do the job?
