Oh.. you cannot install Ie6 on top... listen

From the add/remove programs there is a checkmark box on top that says to
show updates,
check that and then look for IE7 in the list and remove it that way.

If you have XPSP2 (wich you must have or else you could not install IE7)
then you CAN NOT
install IE6 because its a part of SP2.....
