ScummVM which is located at http://www.scummvm.org/ is a freeware
interpeter for many operating systems which allows you to play
Lucasarts Scumm (Script Creation Utility For Maniac Mansion) games. It
also has support for other games such as Beneath A Steel Sky, Flight Of
The Amazon Queen, et al. And now, Legend Of Kyrandia is supported but
you need to download an unstable build to play this game.

Retro Remakes located at http://www.remakes.org/ is a site devoted to
remakes of video games programmed by regular people. Contains hundreds
of remakes, most are freeware but there are a few shareware/demo
versions on this site. Contains remakes for systems ranging from
Commodore Amiga up to the Playstation 2.

PDRoms located at http://www.pdroms.de/index.php is a site devoted to
homebrew roms. Contains many freeware games/apps ranging from arcade
systems up to newer systems such as GBA, DS, PSP, et al.

GBADEV located at http://www.gbadev.org/ is a site devoted to legal
developing for the Gameboy Advance aka GBA. Contains freeware
compilers, libraries & even freeware games for the GBA.

NESDEV located at http://nesdev.parodius.com/ is a site devoted to
developing for the Nintendo Entertainment System aka NES. Contains
freeware compilers/assemblers & even freeware games programmed for the
NES.
