Hi,
SourGumdrop is yet another Sudoku playing program and it can be
downloaded from http://sourgumdrop.org.uk
It is designed to be easy to use and to help people learn how to solve
Sudoku grids. Its interface is also ideal for experienced players
because its automatic filtering techniques remove the need for tedious
simple steps and so provides time for users to concentrate on the more
interesting and challenging components of puzzles. It includes: A very
easily-used puzzle solving interface; Graphical hints for 13 pattern
classes using two levels of detail; Built-in puzzles; Difficulty
ratings; Puzzle reading; Puzzle saving; Undo mechanism; Error checking.
It runs on Windows and Linux and, though untested, probably Macs.
Requires Python2.4 or later to be installed beforehand (also free, see
